31 FLAVORS AND THEN SOME

Rush, I thought you'd be interested to know that the flags are flying at half-staff until you — the Sunflower State's cutest-ever lesbian — return to Kansas!

Pride Week is a drag without you, friend.

I hope you have a rockin' birthday. You're 31 today. I think I was that old when we met. Or just 30? I remember you made fun of my age. The cool thing is I haven't matured a minute since. So now we are even.

What press release? About Pride Week?

Perhaps we should in the future throw a Kansas edition of an "amyrush birthday bash" to lure her back.

Would that work?

Probably not.

Too bad since I have such fond memories of parties in the past complete with games of "big bootie" and some petty theft.

Russian--your b-day present is still on my dresser because I haven't purchased the required Cadbury mini-eggs yet. So belated it will be.

Have some fun in the ATL for all of us tonight.

Aw, thanks y'all.
I am having fun on my birthday, making coffee for people at work! Really, it was a good way to start off the day - with caffeine! I wore a sash that says Happy Birthday, so people have been giving me good wishes and good tips!

And now a job interview and later - margaritas! Come by at about 8, OK? OK!

Yes, Kim, I think you were old - like 30. So old. And so wise. Now you're older and still the same wise. Not so bad. Why in the world would you befriend a 21-year-old at this age? Unthinkable! Of course, it WAS me. I'm pretty remarkable, even at 21.

Yes, dear, you are remarkable at any age.

You are ageless.

Plus, you taught me why there are so many songs about rainbows and what's on the other side. Everyone should befriend a Muppet fan.

Someone please explain.

Happy birthday, Amy!

I've been thinking of singing "Rainbow Connection" in the quartet. Will you be my rainbow connection, kc? You too, Amy!

Ugh, we played big bootie in a choir at WSU. I refused to participate on the grounds that it was juvenile.

In their defense, the other members are between 8 and 10 years younger, and unmarried. But the director has neither excuse.

OK, there are so many ways to respond to Ben's big bootie comment.
-First of all, I learned it from a 32ish-year-old seminary student. And we played it with other 20-30's seminary students. And we liked it. Because we're not too old to have fun. So there!!!
-Secondly, it saved my big bootie when I had to be a church middle school youth group sponsor and we needed to kill 5 minutes.
-And, last but not least - try it, you'll like it!

Everybody needs to sing Rainbow Connection. I think it'd be beautiful as a quartet.

And ... I GOT A JOB!

For your edification:

Big Bootie is a silly (perhaps juvenile) game that serves as a good warm-up to more creative improv games. Or at least that's how we used it. Basic elements: a circle, clapping in rhythm, calling out numbers (which correlate to people in the circle) and trying to knock one another out of line by catching them off guard. The prime position is “big bootie.” You want to be the big bootie. Oh yes, you do.

Ben—come on. Where’s that inner child? Play a little.

As to the theft: I choose not to incriminate myself.

YOU GOT A JOB? Where? Congratulations!!

I'll play big bootie. Anytime. Anywhere.

Crazy, man.

I'm not sure if I can make it in May, but I'll sure try. I don't know what they do about that stuff.

Motion graphics. Very cool. Congratulations. That site is awesome.

That stuff? You mean vacation? They don't do anything, missy, until you've slaved for them for a year or so. Hehe. The thing to do is tell them before you start that you have something planned already — have plane tickets and all, would it be OK to miss a few days? If they say no, then I'll come there, and you'll treat me to a fabulous dinner with your new-found prosperity. (I want to see the loft anyway).
