THIS MORNING (A LIFE LESSON)

When traveling through a soup of fog, it's good to follow someone who keeps things interesting.

Do you regularly take photos while driving?

That in itself would keep things interesting.

AEL, you weren't supposed to point out the obvious glitch in the scenario! But, yes, I suppose I made things interesting for the driver behind me, at least for a few minutes.

Actually, I was quite taken with the camper in the picture. It was quaint and tatty (thanks for the word, Erin) and looked like it had been EVERYWHERE, like it had been driving all night and had brought the fog from the coast.

I hope that was taken with a camera ... but more so I hope that it was taken by your regular digital camera that you keep at your hip in case of interesting things to show to the world.

Sometimes I wish I could *click* in my head to show others what I'm seeing at that moment.

You mean as opposed to taken with a cell phone, dear, or some other gadget?

Yes, it was taken with my digital camera, which I now just carry in my bag.

I do the head clicking, too, all the time.

I can't believe you were driving when you took that. Maybe you should take your camera with you the next time you're running with scissors.

What? Are you guys my mom?

I try to document a meaningful moment and all I get is "safety" grief. It's not like I was taking snapshots on the Ventura Freeway at rush hour.

I'm with you on this one kc. So you have one hand for the camera, one hand for the cell phone, you put your coffee in your lap and drive with your knees. What's all this whining about?

Centuries ago they had ghost ships. That would have been cool to be months out at sea and glimpse a scary ship in the fog. We just get tatty ghost campers. Oh well, progress or something like it.

Ghost campers. That's a beautiful thought, DW.

If you were taking snapshots on the Ventura Freeway at rush hour, would you wash your hands first?

Is that a riddle, cl?

I'll support you here, kc. I have taken many pictures while driving. Including many on the turnpike. At least you were watching the road through your lens. I tend to take too many photos of my canine passengers.

Just mothering, kc.

yes, camera PHONE.

I like the idea of a ghost camper, too. Or ghost station wagon. I miss station wagons.

Amy, I have a post coming up that features a station wagon!

I love this picture! I can't believe how good you and Erin are at taking pictures.
